  • Kenya

We arrived in Kenya after a 3 hour flight direct from Tana yesterday.
Judah was beside himself with excitement to go on the plane. Although he's been on plenty of airplanes, large and small, it was quite evident that this was the first time he was aware of what was going on. He was like a kid in a candy store, or a first time flyer! "look, mom, i've got buttons here!!!" He was excited about the headphones, about the meal, about the arm rests that went up and down... it was a battle to get him to settle down for a nap let me tell you.

Anyway, once in Kenya we've been hosted by various MAF Nairobi staff. It's very hot here! And very dry!! I'm looking forward to the shops and simply enjoying the new restaurants (that let you eat anytime you want! can you imagine! no waiting at the restaurant gate at 6pm or waiting until 7pm until the kitchen opens). Tomorrow we're to move into the house where we'll stay for the duration of our stay, still undetermined in length. I can say though that i am very happy to be here surrounded by people who speak english, the prospect of goodies we usually have to import is also a fantastic thing.

Hopefully soon we'll be motivated to take some photos.
